Let B catch x frogs.

Then A caught 4 times as many as  B

Thus A caught 4x

Together they caught 4x+x=5x frogs

So 5x=60

x=60/5

=12

So B caught x frogs which is 12.

Answer:-12

Hope it helps you.

Have a nice day.

let B catch frog =x
A catch frog=4x
since total number of frog catched = 60
A.T.Q.
4x+x= 60
5x=60
x= 60/5
x= 12
therefore B catch 12 frogs and A catch ,4x = 4*12= 48 frogs.
