(a) An object thrown at a certain angle to the ground moves in a curved path and falls back to the ground. The
initial and the final points of the path of the object lie on the same horizontal line. What is the work done by
the force of gravity on the object?

The work done is 0 as the Initial and final point are on the same path so the height is 0.
W= M× G× H
W= M× G×0
W= 0

Average power= The average power is total energy consumed divided by the total time taken.

Hey there !

An object thrown at a certain angle to the ground moves in a curved path and falls back to the ground. The
initial and the final points of the path of the object lie on the same horizontal line.
As the object moves back to the same horizontal line ,
displacement = 0 .
Work = force x displacement
Hence , work done would be also zero.

========================

Average power is the ratio of total energy consumed or total work done  to the total time taken.
Average power = Total
energy consumed / Total time taken
