 \frac{4 + x}{10 + x}  =  \frac{5}{8}  \\ 8(4 + x) = 5(10 +  x) \\ 32 + 8x = 50 + 5x \\ 8x - 5 = 50 - 32 \\ 3x = 18 \\ x =  \frac{18}{3}  \\ x = 6

Let X be the years

A=4+X

B=10+X

According to given condition

4+X /10+X=5/8

8(4+X) =5(10+X)

32+8X=50+5X

8X-5X=50-32

3X=18

X=18/6

X=3

AFTER 3 YEARS THEIR RATIO WILL BECOME 5:8
