Hey!

A= 5+B
B= x
C= B/2
D= 8+2x

So, If D= 48yrs then,
8+2x = 48
2x=48-8
x=40/2
x=20

Now ,

A»» 5+x = 5+20 =25yrs
B»» x = 20yrs
C»» x/2 = 20/2 = 10yrs
D»» 48yrs

Hope it helps !

Answer:

let's B's age = x year's

then A's age = x+5 years

C's age = x/2

and D's age = 2x +8

but we know that D's age = 48

so

2x + 8 = 48

2x = 40

x = 20

according to above equations

A = x+5 = 20+5= 25

B = x=20

C = x/2 = 20/2 = 10

D = 48
