Answer:

16.22 Days

Step-by-step explanation:

A can complete work in 30 days

A's 1 day work = 1/30

A's efficiency increased in ratio of  4: 5

now A's 1 day work = (1/30) * (5/4)  = 1/24

B can complete work in 40 days

B's 1 day work = 1/40

B's efficiency decreased in ratio  5: 4

now B's 1 day work = (1/40) * (4/5)  = 1/50

Now A's & B's together 1 day work =  1/24 + 1/50

= (1/600)(25  + 12)

= 37/600

Total number of days required = 600/37 = 16.22 Days
