a piece of work in 6 days and A alone can do it in 9 days.

Answer :-

B alone can do the same work in 18 days.

Solution :-

A and B can do a piece of work in 6 days

So (A and B)'s one day work = 1/6

A alone can do it in 9 days

So A's one day work = 1/9

We know that

B's one day work = (A and B)'s one day work - A's one day work

= 1/6 - 1/9

= (3 - 2)/18

= 1/18

B's one day work = 1/18

So B alone can do the same work in 18 days.
