Given : A and B can do a piece of work in 18 days; B and C can do it in 24 days, A and C can do it in 36 day.

To Find : how many days b alone can finish the work?

Solution:

Let say  A's 1 day work = A

B's 1 day work  = B

C's  1 Day  work  = C

A   +  B = 1/18

B  + C = 1/24

A  + C  = 1/36

Adding all

=> 2(A + B + C) = 1/18 + 1/24 + 1/36

multiplying  both sides by 72

=> 144(A + B + C) = 4 + 3 + 2

=>  144(A + B + C) = 9

=> A + B + C  = 9/144

=> A + B + C = 1/16

   A + C  = 1/36

=> B = 1/16  - 1/36

=> B = ( 9 -  4)/144

=> B = 5/144

=> B' 1 day work =  5/144

B will finish work alone in 144/5

= 28.8 Day

B will finish work alone in 28.8 Day
