⇒ 1 day = 1/15 of the field
A can plough 1/8 of the filed in 5 days
⇒ 5 days = 1/8
⇒ 1 day = 1/8 ÷ 5 = 1/40 of the field
Find the amount of work B can do in a day:
1 day = 1/15 - 1/40 = 1/24 of the field
Find the number of days B needs to complete the same job:
1/24 of the field = 1 day
24/24 of the field = 1 x 24 = 24 days
Answer: It takes B 24 days to plough the field
