Given:

Number of fruits that A collects from each tree = 4

Number of fruits that B collects from each tree = 3

B used 4 more trees than A used.

To find:

Total number of collection of fruits.

Solution:

Let the number of trees that A used = x

Number of fruits collected by A = 4x

And number of trees B used = y

Number of fruits collected by B = 3y

Equation of total number of fruits will be = 4x + 3y

As given in the question: y - x = 4 and 4x = 3y

Therefore, x = 3y/4

Putting in the equation y-x = 4 we get:

y - 3y/4 = 4

y/4 = 4

y = 16

x = 3y/4 = 3*16/ 4

= 12

Therefore total number of fruits = 4x + 3y

= 4*12 + 3*16

= 48 + 48 = 96

Therefore total number of fruits is 96.
