Answer: The total profit is 1500 rupees.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, the ratio of the investments of A and B = 3:2,

Hence, the ratio of the profit of A and B = 3 : 2, ( because, the time and rate is same for both person )

Now, Let the profit of A = 3x and the profit of B = 2x,

Where x is any number.

Hence, the total profit they divide= 3x + 2x = 5x,

The part of A in profit they divide = \frac{3x}{5x}=\frac{3}{5}

Since, 3/5 of the profit they divide = 855 rupees

⇒ Profit they divided = 4275/3 = 1425 rupees,

According to the question,

5% of the total profit goes to charity,

Thus, 95 % of the total profit = Profit they divide

0.95 × Total profit = 1425

Total profit = 1500 Rupees.
