A and B can do a piece of work in 30 days
So they will do 1/30 of the work in 1 day.
after 16 days they will have done 16/30 of work
then the remaining work will be 1-16/30=14/40
and then the remaing work is done all only by B in 44 days.
And since B alone completes 14/30 of work in 40 days.
then he can do (14/30)÷40 work in 1 day i.e. (14/1200)=7/600
◆So B would take 600/7=85+5/7 days to complete the work alone
