Given-

No.of days A and B take to complete a work = 10

No.of days C takes to destroys the same work = 28

A, B and C together work for 12 days and then B completes the remaining work in 4 days

To find-

No.of days A alone will take to complete the same work

Solution-

Now,

Work done by A and B in 1 day = 1/10

Work destroyed by C in 1 day = 1/28

Work done by A, B and C = (1/10-1/28)

Work done in 12 days by A,B and C= 12*(1/10-1/28)=216/280

Remaining work is done by B alone in 4 days

Therefore,

Remaining work =1-(216/280)=64/280

B works in 1 day=(64/280)/4=16/280

Hence

A works in 1 day=(1/10-16/280)=12/280

So, A WILL COMPLETE THE WORK IN 280/12 DAYS
