Answer: A completed the work in approximately 13 days

Step-by-step explanation:

Let amount of work done by A = A

Let amount of work done by B = B

Let amount of work done by C = C

Amount of work done by A in one day = 1/A

Amount of work done by B in one day = 1/B

Amount of work done by C in one day = 1/C

According to the question,

1/A + 1/B = 1/ 15 ——— 1.

1/A + 1/C = 1/17 ——— 2.

1/A + 1/B + 1/C = 1/8

Add 1. And 2.

=> 1/A + 1/A + 1/B + 1/C = 1/17 + 1/15

=> 1/A + ( 1/A + 1/B + 1/C ) = 1/17 + 1/15

=> 1/A + 1/ 8 = 1/17 + 1/15

=> 1/A = 1/17 + 1/15 - 1/8 = (120 + 136 - 105) / 2040 = 151/2040

=> A = 2040 / 151

A completed the works in 2040/151 = approximately 13 days
