Microwaves > infrared rays > ultaviolet rays> gamma rays

b) Microwaves -- used in ovens for cooking and heating food . and also used in radio communication and transmission.

Infrared rays -- used in photography at night and in fog bcz. they can penetrate long distances and also they are not visible. also used in therapeutic purposes by doctors...

hope this answer will help u..

thank u...

The descending order of the given electromagnetic waves is (i) microwave > (ii) infrared rays > (iii) Ultraviolet radiation > (iv) Gamma rays

The wavelength orders of the above mentioned electromagnetic waves are:

  1. Microwave : 10⁻² m
  2. Infrared rays : 10⁻⁵ m
  3. Ultraviolet radiation : 10⁻⁸ m
  4. Gamma rays : 10⁻¹² m

The more the wavelength, the less energy does the wave possess.

The approximate scale of wavelength of these E.M. waves are :

  1. Microwave : Butterfly
  2. Infrared rays : Needle point
  3. Ultraviolet radiation : Molecules
  4. Gamma rays : Atom nuclei
