(a-b)^2 = 1^2
a^2 + b^2 - 2ab = 1
41 - 2ab = 1
41 -1 = 2ab
40 =2ab
40/2 =ab
20 = ab
Now,
let a+b be x
(a+b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 +2ab
x^2 = a^2 +b^2 +2ab
x^2 = 41 + 2(20)
x^2 = 41+ 40
x^2 = 81
x = 9
Now,
a+b = 9
