=> (-a-b)²

=> {-1(a + b)}²

=> {(-1)²(a+b)²}

=> {1(a+b)}²

=> (a+b)²

=> a² + b² + 2ab

Or,

Let -a = x
       -b = y

Now,

(x + y)² = x² + y² + 2ab

Putting the value of x and y

=> {-a + (-b)}² = (-a)² + (-b)² + 2(-a × -b)

=> {-a -b}² = a² + b² + 2(ab)

=> (-a-b)² = a² + b² + 2ab

i hope this will help you

Hi ,

( - a - b )²

= [ -( a + b ) ]²

= ( a + b )²

= a² + 2ab + b²

I hope this helps you.
