a + b = 76 ------- (I)
a - b = 38 -------- (ii)

2a = 114

=> a = 57
Substitution of a in any eq

=> b = 19

Value of a ÷ b = 57 ÷ 19

= 3

a-b=38

By elimination method....

2@=114
@=114/2
@=57

put @ in equation a-b=38
.
57-b=38
-b=38-57
b=19

Now...

a÷b
57/19
=3
