Given:

The partnership ratio A:B:C = 3:2:1

Later, they decided to have equal ratios in 1st April.

Therefore, A:B:C = 1:1:1

Old ratio = 3:2:1

New ratio = 1:1:1

To find:

Sacrificing ratio and gaining ratio

Formula:

Sacrificing ratio = Old ratio – New ratio

A = \frac{3}{6}-\frac{1}{3} = \frac{2}{3}-\frac{1}{3}=\frac{1}{3}

B = \frac{2}{6}-\frac{1}{3}=\frac{1}{3}-\frac{1}{3} = 0

C = \frac{1}{6}-\frac{1}{3}=\frac{1}{6}-\frac{2\times1}{2\times3}=\frac{1}{6}-\frac{2}{6}=-\frac{1}{6} (gaining ratio)

Hence making A sacrifice (\frac{1}{6} of his share) and C (\frac{1}{6} of his share) the gainer.
