Step-by-step explanation:

A can do a work in 12 days

B can do a work in 24 days

C can do a work in 8 days

Let total work be 24 (LCM of 12, 24, 8)

Therefore,

A can do 2 work in 1 day

B can do 1 work in 1 day

C can do 3 work in 1 day

Total work done by A, B, C together in 1 day = 2+1+3 = 6

After C left, total work left = 24-6 = 18

Total work done by A and B together in 1 day = 2+1 = 3

Therefore, rest of the work can be done by A and B together in = 18/3 = 6 days
