'A', 'B' and 'C' went to the restaurant for lunch. 'A' paid 1/3 of the amount paid by 'C' and 'B' paid 1/4 of the amount paid by 'C'. If the amount of bill was Rs. 3800, find the amount paid by 'C

Let the amount paid by C = x;

Amount paid by A =1/3x

Amount paid by B = 1/4x

ATQ,

x+1/3x+1/4x = 3800

(12x+4x+3x)/12 = 3800

19x/12 = 3800

x = (3800*12)/19

=> x = 200*12 = 2400

Therefore l, amount paid by C= ₹2400
