Answer:

the answer will be

ax(b+c)=(axb) +(axc)

lhs=ax(b+c)

=1/2(1/3+1/4)

1/2(4+3/12)

1/2(7/12)

=7/24

RHS:

(1/2x1/3)+(1/2x1/4)

(1/6)+(1/8)

8+6/48=14/48=7/24

LHS=RHS

hence proved it

a(b+c)=(a*b)+(a*c)

this property is the distributive property over addition

if,a=1/2

 b=1/3

 c=1/4

substitute values of a,b and c in the give property

1/2(1/3+1/4)=(1/2*1/3)+(1/2*1/4)

by using the above method you can solve by yourself by takingLCM and by  doing the further process.

Hope it will help u.....
