A, b, c, d are four members of a family whose sum of ages is 176.

Four years ago the ratio of a:b:c:d is 11:9:4:16.

   11 x + 9 x +4 x + 16 x   =  176 - 16  (since 4 years ago)

                   40 x            =  160

                                x    =   4

A =  11 x 4   = 44, for percentage = 44 / 160 x 100 = 27.5%

B  =  9 x 4  = 36, for percentage = 36 / 160 x 100 = 22.5%

C  =  4 x  4 =  16, for percentage = 16 / 160 x 100 = 10%

D  = 16 x 4  =  64, for percentage = 64 / 160 x 100 = 40%

let their ages be 11x,9x,4x,16x four years ago.

4 years later,

A's age will be 11x+4

B's age will be 9x+4

C's age will be 4x+4

D's age will be 16x+4

16x+4+9x+4+4x+4+16x+4=176

40x+16=176

40x=176-16

40x=160

x=160/40

x=4

A'age = 11 x 4+4

=48 years

percentage= 48/176*100

=27.27percent is the answer
