Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

we will apply pythagoras theorem

In triangle ABC

=> AB=12cm , BC=5cm , AC =?

So, by Pythagoras theorem

=> (AC)²= (AB)² + (BC)²

=> (AC)² = (12)² + (5)²

=> (AC)² = 144 + 25

=> (AC)² = 169

=> AC = √169

=> AC= 13cm

Answer:

Area of a rectangle=AB×AC

    Also, AB=CD and AC=BC

             As opposite sides of a rectangle are equal.

So,  BC=AC=5 cm
