Answer:

According to given data we have,

Let IA, IB & IC denote the incomes of A, B & C respectively.

Let EA, EB & EC denote the expenditures of A, B & C respectively.

Let SA, SB & SC denote the savings of A, B & C respectively.

As per given data,

The ratio of incomes of A, B & C is 3:7:4 respectively. So we get the following relations,

IA/3 = IB/7 = IC/4 = k1 (say) …… (1)

The ratio of expenditures of A, B & C is 4:3:5 respectively. So we get the following relations,

EA/4 = EB/3 = EC/5 = k2 (say) …… (2)

A saves Rs. 300 out of Rs. 2400. So we get the following relations,

IA = 2400 ,,,,,, (3)

SA = IA - EA …. (4)

From (1) & (3) we get,

3*k1 = 2400 or k1 = 800 ,,,,,,, (5a)

From (2) & (4) we get,

EA = IA - SA or 4*k2 = 2400 - 300 = 2100 or k2 = 525 ,,,,,,, (5b)

Therefore savings of B is determined from (1), (2) , (5a) & (5b) as follows,

SB = IB - EB = 7*k1 - 3*k2 = 7*800 - 3*525 = 5600 - 1575 = 4025 (Rs) [Ans}
