Given- no. of red balls = 2
no. of blue balls = 4
no. of green balls = 6
Solution - Total no. of balls = 2+4+6=12
Now, probability that a ball drawn out is red =
no. of red balls/total no. of balls
=2/12 = 1/6
And, probability that the ball drawn out is green = 6/12 = 1/2 or 0.50
Also, probability that the ball drawn out is either a red or green ball = no. of red+no.of green balls/total no.of balls
=2+6/12
=8/12
=2/3.
