A bag contain 15 balls, out of which some are white and the others are black. If probability of drawing a black ball at random from the bag is 2/3, then find how many white ball are there in the bag

hey ye  question to aaj ke paper mein tha :D

total no. of balls = 15

probability of drawing a black ball = 2/3

  multiplying 5 in numerator and denominator

                                                            = 2x5/3x5

                                                            = 10/15

      ∴ no. of black balls are 10

               and white balls are 5  [ 15 - 10 = 5]
