A bag contain RS 750in the form of 1 rupee 50 p and 25 p coin which are present in ratio 5:8:4 find the number of coins of each denomination

Let us assume x,y,z be no of coins of 1 , 50 P  and 25P respectively

x:y:z = 5:8:4

i.e. x= 5k, y = 8k and z = 4k

Value = 100x+50y+25z = 75000 becomes

100(5k)+50(8k)+25(4k) = 1000k= 75000

k = 75

x = 75(5) = 375

y = 75(8) = 600 and z = 75(4) = 300

There are 375 coins of 1 re, 600 coins of 50P and 300 coins of 25P
