A bag contains 25 paise and 50 paise coins whose total value of is rupees 60 . If the number of 25 paise coins is 4 times that of 50 paise coins, find the number of coins of each type.

Let the 25 paise coins be x and 50 paise coins be y

So by the 1st condition...
25X + 50Y= 60

By the 2nd condition
X=4y
Subst and solve u will get the answer

25p ×4 =1 rs and 50 p ×2 =1rs then;given 50 p is 4 times less than 25p so ratio =1:4 so there is 60 rs means 6000p so 5 part =6000p so 1part =6000p/5 =1200p =25p So there are =1200/25= 48 coins of 25 p and so given there is 4 times less 50pcoins than 25p coins so 48/4 =12 Hence there are 12 coins of 50p
