Answer:

first of all:-

total no. of marbles - 5+7

12 total marbles

now,

The probability of drawing a blue marble is \bf \frac{7}{12}.

GIVEN : A bag contains three green marbles, four blue marbles, and two orange marbles.

To find: The probability of drawing a blue marble

Formula used:

Probability (E) = Number of favourable outcomes / Total number of outcomes

Solution :

We have, Number of red marbles = 5

Number of Blue marbles = 7

Total number of marbles in a bag = Number of red marbles + Number of blue marbles

Total number of marbles in a bag = 5 + 7 = 12

Total number of outcomes = 12

Let E = Event  of getting a blue marble

Number of blue marbles = 7

Number of outcomes favourable to E = 7

Probability (E) = Number of favourable outcomes / Total number of outcomes

P(E) = \bf \frac{7}{12}

Hence, the probability of getting a  marble which is not orange , P(E) = \bf \frac{7}{12}
