Let the 50 paise , 1 rupee and 2 rupee coins bag is 2x ,3x and 4x

Then total ruppe in bag =0.50×2x+1×3x+2×4x=240⇒x+3x+8x=240⇒12x=240⇒x=20

Then total number of coins are=9×20=180
