Answer:

1 Green ball = 4/15 2 White ball = 1/3 3 non-red ball = 3/5

Step-by-step explanation:

Total no of balls = 5+6+4 = 14

1. P(getting green ball ) = 4/5

2. P(getting white ball ) = 5/15 = 1/3

3. P(getting non-red ball ) = 9 /16 = 3/5

Given,

Number of red balls = 6

Number of white balls = 5

Number of green balls = 4

To find,

What is the ball drawn 1)green? 2)white? 3)non-red? Why?

Solution,

The process used to determine the chances is called Probability.

Total number of balls in the bag = 6 + 5 + 4

                                                      = 15

1) Probability of getting a green ball = (number of green balls)/(total number of balls)

= 4/15

2)  Probability of getting a white ball = (number of white balls)/(total number of balls)

= 5/15

= 1/3

3)  Probability of getting a non-red ball = (number of non-red balls)/(total number of balls)

= 9/15

= 3/5

Thus, the probability of getting a white ball = 1/3, one of getting a non-red ball = 3/5 and one of getting a green ball = 4/5
