To find :-

• Total amount in the bag.

Let the

• 50 paise , 1 rupee and 2 rupee coins bag is 2x ,3x and 4x

Value of 50 paise coins = Rs. x

Value of 1 rupee coins = Rs. 3x

Value of 2 paise coins = Rs.8 x

Total number of ruppe in bag are:-

$\mathtt{ \implies \: x + 3x + 8x = 240}$

$\mathtt{ \implies 12x = 240}$

$\mathtt{ \implies x = \frac{240}{12} }$

$\mathtt{ \implies x = 20}$

Hence the total number of coins,

$\mathtt{ \implies 2x + 3x + 4x = 9x}$

$\mathtt{ \implies= 9 \times 20}$
