Given:
A bag contains rice= 5 kg = 5 × 1000= 5000 g
[ 1kg = 1000g]
Rice taken out for cooking= 1500 g
Amount left in the bag = rice in the bag - Rice taken out for cooking
Amount left in the bag = 5000 -1500= 3500 g
Ratio of the amount taken out to the amount left in the bag= 1500:3500
= 15:35= 3:7
Ratio of the amount taken out to the amount left in the bag= 3: 7

To find out first of all convert the 5 kg to grams
as we know that 1 kg contain 1000 grams so 5 kg will have= 5*1000 =5000 grams
So the bag of rice contain the 5000 grams
rice which was taken for cooking was =1500 grams
So the remaining rice in bag will be = 5000 - 1500 = 3500 grams.tio
the ratio amount taken and remaining rice in bag= 1500:3500
So just by simplify =3:7
so the the ratio of amount taken from bag to the remaining rice will be 3:7 which will be our answer
