total number of gummy bears = 60

given ,ratio of blue and green = 1: 5

let the constant ratio be ' x '
now,
the blue and green bears are , 1x , 5x

total gummy bears (blue+green) = 60

1x + 5x = 60

6x = 60

x = 10

hence , blue gummy bears are

= 1 x = 1 × 10 = 10

and green gummy bears are

= 5x = 5 × 10 = 50

----------------------------------------

Here is the solution:

----------------------------------------

Ratio of blue : Green = 1 : 5

Define x:

Let x be the constant ratio:

Ratio of blue : Green = 1x : 5x

Solve x:

The total number of gummy bears is 60

x + 5x = 60

6x = 60

x = 10

Find the number of blue gummy bears:

Blue gummy bears  = x = 10

Answer: There are 10 blue gummy bears.
