A bag contains Red, Green and Yellow balls. A ball is taken at random from the bag. The probability that it is Red is 0.35 and the probability that it is Green is 0.4 Find the probability that ball selected is: Yellow Not Red

(I) p(red)+p(yellow)+p(green)=1. (because sum of all probabilities is 1)

0.35+p(yellow)+0.4=1

0.39+p(yellow)=1

p(yellow)=1-0.39

p(yellow)=0.61

(2) p(red)+p(not red) =1. (because sum of all probabilities is 1)

0.35+p(not red) =1

p(not red) =1-0.35

p(not red) =0.65
