A bag contains RS 500 in the form of rs 5 and RS 10.if total no of coins is 75 then find out the no of coins each present in the bag

Define x:

Let the number of Rs 5 coins be x

The number of Rs 10 coins be (75 - x)

Form the equation:

Given that the total sum is Rs 500

5x + 10(75 - x) = 500

5x + 750 - 10x = 500

5x = 250

x = 50

Find the number of each of type of coins:

Number of Rs 5 = x = 50

Number Rs 10 = 75 - x = 75 - 50 = 25

Answer: There are 50 Rs 5 coins and 25 Rs 10 coins
