let no of coin be 2x 3x 4x
Amount of 50p = 100x
Amount of 25p= 75x
Amount of20p= 80x
100x+75x+80x= 510
255x = 510
x = 510/255
x = 2
no of 50p = 2×2 = 4
no of 25p = 3×2 = 6
no of 20 p = 4×2 = 8

The no of coins of 50p is 400

The no of coins of 25p is 600

The no of coins of 20p is 800

Step-by-step explanation:

As given , the bag contains Rs 510 in the form of 50p, 25p and 20p coins in the ratio of 2:3:4.

First convert the coins values in Rupee ,i.e. Rs 0.50, Rs 0.25 and Rs 0.20

Let the total number of coins are 2x, 3x, 4x

=> 0.50 \times 2x + 0.25 \times 3x + 0.20 \times 4x = 510

=> x + 0.75x + 0.80x = 510

=> 2.25x = 510

=> x = 200

The no of coins of 50p is 2x = 2*200 = 400

The no of coins of 25p is 3x = 3*200 = 600

The no of coins of 20p is 4x = 4*200 = 800
