Given :

  • A bag contains 10 red marbles and 6 blue marbles.

To Find :

  • Probability of getting blue marble.

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Red\:Marbles=10}

\longmapsto\tt{Blue\:Marbles=6}

\longmapsto\tt{Total\:Marbles=16}

Now ,

\longmapsto\tt{Probability=\frac{No.\:of\:Fav.\:Outcomes}{Total\:No.\:of\:Outcomes}}

\longmapsto\tt{\cancel\dfrac{6}{16}}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{\dfrac{3}{8}}

So , The Probability of getting a blue marble is 3/8...

Total no. of marbles i.e. n(s) = 10 + 6

= 16

Event A = Getting a blue marble

n (A) = 6

P (A) = n (A)/ n (s)

= 6/ 16

3/ 8

Therefore the probability of getting a blue marble is 3/8

Here n (s) means total no of marbles

n (A) means total no of blue marbles

P (A) means probability of getting blue marbles

I hope this helps u dear friend ^_^
