Given Data: 4 red balls, 3 white balls and 2 yellow balls.

To find: Probability of getting white balls and yellow balls.

Solution:

  • Probability is to find the ratio of the given data.
  • The total number of balls = 9.
  • To find the white balls, X = \frac{White Balls}{Total balls}  ; X = \frac{3}{9} ;
  • X = \frac{1}{3}.
  • To find the Yellow balls, Y = \frac{Yellow Balls}{Total balls}  ;  Y = \frac{2}{9} .
  • The Probability of getting White balls is \frac{3}{9} or \frac{1}{3} .
  • The Probability of getting Yellow balls is \frac{2}{9} .
