There are 7 different colours.

Probability of each colour =

(Number of marbles of that colour) ÷ total number of marbles.

There is only one red marble.

So it's probability =

(Number of red marbles)÷ total number of marbles

= 1/7.

Hope this explaination is nice enough...

mariabutt60: dear all but answer is 6/7 .
juiletcartlo707: MAYBE, so when you remove that 1/7 (red) from the total you get 6/7 ?
vicky062003: yes
juiletcartlo707: Probability of red one removed means the probability of the remaining colours. So it's 6/7
