number of 50p coin =4x

number of 25p coin=2x

number of 20p coin=x

convert p to rupees

50p=1/2

25p=1/4

20p=1/5

4x/2+2x/4+x/5=54

54x/20=54

x=20

number of 25p coin is 2*20=40

There are 20 coins of 25p.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Ratio of 50p, 25p, and 20p = 4:2:1

Total value of coins = Rs. 54

According to question,

0.5\times 4x+0.25\times 2x+0.20\times x=54\\\\2x+0.5x+0.2x=54\\\\2.7x=54\\\\x=\dfrac{54}{2.7}\\\\x=20

Hence, the number of 25 p coins in the bag are 0.25\times 2\times 40=20

Therefore, there are 20 coins of 25p.
