A bag has seven red, four white and three green balls while another bag has five red,six yellow and three blue balls. A bag is selected at random and a ball drawn out of it,then find the probability that the ball drawn is red

Total no. Of balls in first bag = 14

7 - red

4 - white

3 - green

Total no. Of balls in second bag = 14

5 - red

6 - yellow

3 - blue

As, P(E) =Favourable no. /Total no.

Therefore, P of red balls in bag =

No. Of balls un first bag + no of balls in second bag/total no. Of balls in both the bag.

P[E] = 7+5/28

=12/28

=3/7
