PE.= mgh,
m=200kg
g=9.8m/s²
PE=9800 J
so, h= (mg)/PE
=( 200×9.8)/9800
=0.2 m

Answer:

\bf\underline{\underline{solution}}

1) take g as 10m/s

potential energy = 9800 joules

weight = 200kg

PE = mass × g × height  \\ 9800 = 200 \times 10 \times h \\  h =  \frac{9800}{200 \times 10}  \\ h = 9.8m

∴ the height is 9.8 metres

2) take g as 9.8m/s

potential energy = 9800 joules

weight = 200kg

PE = mass × g × height  \\ 9800 = 200 \times 9.8 \times h \\  h =  \frac{9800}{200 \times 9.8}  \\ h = 10m

∴ the height is 10meters
