A ball comes down with gravity at an altitude of 10 meters with initial velocity. If it collides with the ground, it gives 50% energy in the collision and then returns to the same height, so tell the initial velocity.

Explanation:

HEY MATE ..

Initial total energy at height h is, = 1/2 mu ^2 + mgh

Energy of ball after collision, =50% of total energy.

As ball rebounds to same height h, then

mgh= 50% 0f total energy.

1 /4 mu ^2 + 1 / 2 magh .

therefore, u =

sqrt(2gh)=14m/s
