A ball is dropped and bounces up to a height that is 75% of the height from which is dropped. It then bounces again to a height that is 75% of the previous height and so on.
How many bounces does it make before it bounces up to less then 25% of the original height from which is dropped?

25

Answer is five times

Assume ball was dropped from a height of 100 mts

Every time it bounces upto 75% of height it was dropped

Therefore (I) 100÷100*75 = 75 mts

(ii) 75÷100*75 = 56.25 mts

(iii) 56.25÷100*75 = 42.19 mts

(IV) 42.19÷100*75 = 31.64 mts

(v) 31.64÷100*75 = 23.73 mts

So after bouncing 5 time it goes upto 23.73 mts which is less than 25 mts
