By using second equation of motion.

h = ut + 1/2gt^2

125 = 0 + 1 / 2 x 10 x t^2

t^2 = 5 s

Let t' be the time taken by sound to reach the top after splash .

v= 340 m/s

h=125 m

t'=?

t' = h/v

t' = 125 m/ 340 m/s = 0.37 s

Total time"T" = t +t' = 5 + 0.37 = 5.37 s

Thus the time taken by the splash heard at the top will be 5.37 s
