A ball is dropped from the roof of a tall building and simultaneously another ball is thrown horizontally with some velocity from the same roof. Which ball lands first? Explain your answer.

# Answer-
- Both the balls would reach the ground at the same time because their initial vertical velocities, acceleration and distance covered are all equal.

Both balls will reach the ground at time given by-
t=√(2h/g)

- Dropped ball will move in straight line while thrown ball will move in parabolic curve.

Given :

For ball A:

Initial velocity=0 m/s

So it accelerates downwards with “g”

Let it cover a height =H in time t

H=0+1/2 gt2

T=√(2H/g)

For second B:

Initial velocity=0 m/s

So it accelerates downwards with “g”

Let it cover a height =H in time t

H=0+1/2 gt2

T1=√(2H/g)

Both the ball reach ground at the same time as their  velocities are same and time they take to reach ground are same
