Answer:

{1/2, 1, 7/4, 13/5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given A = {1,2,3,4} and f : A -> R.

Given, f(x) = (x² - x + 1)/(x + 1 )   ---- (i)

Taking x = 1,2,3,4 in (i), we obtain the required range.

f(1) = (1 - 1 + 1)/1 + 1

    = 1/2

f(2) = (2² - 2 + 1)/2 + 1

     = 3/3

     = 1.

f(3) = (3² - 3 + 1)/3 + 1

     = 7/4.

f(4) = (4² - 4 + 1)/4 + 1

     = 13/5.

Therefore, the range of f = {1/2, 1, 7/4, 13/5}.

Hope it helps!
