a ball is projected vertically upwards from 'A' the top of a tower and reaches the ground in t1 s. if it is projected vertically downwards from 'A'with the velocity,it reaches the ground in t2 s.if it falls freely from 'A' show that it will reach the ground in underroot t1.t2 seconds

a body is projected vertically downwards from A,

h = ut1 + 0.5gt1^2 ….............................(1)

it is projected upwards with same velocity

h = ut2 – 0.5gt2^2........................(2)

time it will reach the ground if it is dropped from A

h = 0 + 0.5gt^2..............................(3)

solve the three eqns. and get t in terms of t1 and t2.

Explanation:

a body is projected vertically downwards from A,

h = ut1 + 0.5gt1^2 ….............................(1)

it is projected upwards with same velocity

h = ut2 – 0.5gt2^2........................(2)

time it will reach the ground if it is dropped from A

h = 0 + 0.5gt^2..............................(3)

solve the three eqns. and get t in terms of t1 and t2.

Answer is √(t1*t2)
