A ball is released from rest from the top of a cliff. Taking the top of the cliff as the reference (zero) level and upwards as the positive direction, draw
(i) the displacement-time graph,
(ii) distance-time graph
(iii) velocity-time graph,

  1. Graph→because displacement is in negative direction (downwards)

2. Graph 2 As velocity is increasing in negative direction and acceleration is constant.

3. Graph 3 Distance travelled is always positive.

4. Graph 4 speed is always positive

and acceleration is constant
